Hi Everyone,
Just thought I would let you know how things are coming along with my pregnancy as I am now 32 weeks pregnant and due in just 8 weeks.
Since the last time I wrote I have met my midwife and I am seeing her on a regular basis. I have been reading alot about birth and decided I want to have the most natural birth possible by having the baby at home, using a birthing tub and if possible, no medical or drug interventions. I will have the help of 2 midwives, Ryan (of course) and a girl who lives on the property where we work that is a doula (birthing coach). It is my hope that if all goes well in the coming weeks, and my pregnancy progresses normally, that this will be how our little bundle of joy enters this world, in the peace and tranquillity of our own home without any medications or surgery.
We are both very excited and busy preparing for the baby's arrival. I will be going on maternity leave mid September so I will have a few weeks to make final preparations before the baby comes.
I believe God has been blessing us with little miracles along the way as I am thrilled to have a beautiful lady as a doula... You know how you just hit it off with certain people? Well I felt a connection to her the moment I met her about a year ago and things keep happening that have brought us closer together. We had a BBQ together a few weeks ago and discovered a unique parallel between our lives and theirs. It was an incredible evening as each couple had something to bring to the table to help each other. This is a friendship that is definely made in heaven.
Another amazing thing that happened when I was showing an elderly lady and her son a townhouse to rent. I was with them for about half an hour when all of a sudden she looked at me and said "are you pregnant?" I said "yes" She looked me straight in the eye and said "its a boy". Just like that. At the time I was very surpised and delighted of course. It was a very interesting experience and I found out later that she is gifted and has correctly predicted the sex of unborn babys throughout her lifetime and that it is a gift the runs in her family.
Lastly I would just like to say that I am feeling great, I still have lots of energy and pregnancy is really agreeing with me. My skin is really clear (for the first time in my adult life I have no acne) and my hair is getting thicker because I have new hair growth happening! I hope all this good stuff continues once baby comes.
God's plan for this world is slowly coming together and I am so grateful to be part of it.
Thank you God for allowing me to be part of your great plan and for all the beauty and miracles in our lives.
Love Linda
